Outside Photos

Here are the photos from the outside of the Mansion.

All of the windows and doors will be replaced with new ones. I can't wait for that day to get here.! The hardest part is choosing what size and color I want. I'm pretty sure we've decided with a three piece bay window in each of the large front room spaces. Upstairs you can see the triangular ones. The window on the left is over the stairway and the window on the right is above the hot water heater and shower in the master bath. Both of which will be gone soon to let the natural light into the bathroom.

Here is another view of the front. We'd like to remove all the concrete from the front and make a nice Trex deck with a wraparound porch complete with hand railings and nicer posts. You can't see it, but the wire job on the porch was incredible.!! They had a large freezer and a large refrigerator on the front porch. They took one extension cord and cut it in two pieces then took a second extension cord and cut it as well. Then they spliced them together leaving a regular plug in on one end which they plugged into an outside porch light socket. Then they wired several outlets using the extension cord as regular wiring. They plugged both appliances into those outlets. Then continued the extension cord / wire over to another outlet and wired that outlet and a light switch. From there they went up the wall to the porch light. It's completely amazing the house is still standing. Especially after seeing some of the other wiring in the house. There were several places where the wires were just spliced together then a groove cut in the wood and the wire ran across the ceiling to the light. Wow.!

Here is a photo of the kitchen door. Isn't it pretty.??? Loving the yard angel too. Yup, all that stuff is gone.!

Oh but wait, here's some more "stuff". I'm pretty sure they never threw anything away. Ever.!!! Going thru some of the boxes we found old, I mean like 1990 bank statements from the people who lived there when Barb moved in to take care of them.!!
